AFRICAN AMERICAN SCHOOL BUILDING REVIVAL
Central High School (Second Location)
Madison Parish
In the 1960s, Central High School relocated to newly built facilities across town from its original location. Soon after it was built, during the 1970s, integration began taking place. Both locations that Central High School occupied were consolidated creating Natchitoches Central High School. The schools alternated days spent having class at both locations. The first fully integrated class happened in 1971. This second location was renamed in 2009 as Frankie Ray Jackson Sr. Technical Center and is still extant and in use today.
